Age 87, died Wed., Feb. 13, 1985 in Grayling, MI. Born April 12, 1897 in Saginaw. Mrs. Shippey had been a former resident of Lansing, Frankenmuth and Florida and most recently had been residing with her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Audrey at Higgins Lake. She was a member of the O.E.S. in Roscommon. She is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Norma Durant of Lansing; 2 sons, Jack D. and daughter-in-law, Audrey L. of Higgins Lake and Donald I. and daughter-in-law, Frances J. of Augres; 10 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 5 great, great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Martin Baase of Saginaw and Howard Baase of Burt, MI; 1 sister, Mrs. Grace Kapitaki of Saginaw; several nieces & nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Shippey will be held Sat. [Feb. 16, 1985], 2:30 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Thomas G. Bayes, Jr., Pastor of Judson Memorial Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Thurs. 7-9 p.m. and Fri. 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
